Mt. Lhotse Expedition

Lhotse is the part of Everest massif which is also known as the ‘South Peak’. It lies 3km south of Mt. Everest and it is separated by the South Col. There are three peaks in Lhotse which make it Lhotse massif: Lhotse East or middle, Lhotse Shar and Lhotse. The South face is the largest mountain faces in the world and it is more technical. Both Mt. Everest and Lhotse share the same base camp. The main summit of Lhotse was climbed at first on May 18, 1956 by the Swiss team.
