Mt. Chekigo (6257m) is a beautiful trekking peak located between the famous Khumbu and Rolwaling valleys in Gaurishankar conservation area of Nepal. This peak was unknown to the mountaineers for long period.  Bruce Normand, a British and Oliver von Rotz, a swiss together first conquered Chekigo peak  in May 15, 2005 via west face. Climbing Mt. Chekigo will be one of the wonderful experience of your life in Nepal Himalayas. En route to Mt. Chekigo, you will explore a good blend of Hindu and Buddhist culture. Kalinchowk (3579m) is a popular Hindu shrine of the region where thousands of Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage visit every air to worship and get blessed from goddess Kalinchowk Bhagabati. Similarly,  Biju Gompa is another famous monastery of this area. An excellent panoramic  view of Annapurna, Lamjung, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Shishapanga, Langtang, Dorjee Lakpa, Jugal Himal and Gauri Shanker fascinates your trip. Every year, good number domestic tourists also visit the area to observe the national bird Pheasant (Danfe) and various species of Rhododendron (Laligurans).
