Everest Expedition North Side

Everest Expedition North Side

Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha) is the world’s highest peak with an altitude of 8,848meter. Climbing Mt Everest has been the ultimate adventure dream for all the mountaineers around the world. Every year an increasing number of summiteers are conquering Everest summit, currently the number is around 1000. There are two normal routes for climbing Mt. Everest; one from the southern side Nepal and another from northern side Tibet.

Climbing Everest via North (Tibetan) side is the least expensive way to climb it. Among the several reasons, low cost of royalty, basic mountaineering services and the safest route to the summit are the key factors to attract more Everest climbers from North Col. than from the South Col. In technical prospective, it is more challenging than the South side but does not have the ice fall danger. One of charming of Everest North Ridge route is that it offers the view of virtually the whole route from the base camp. In recent years, Everest climb via the north side is being more popular. The trip to North Everest BC begins at the ancient and colorful city of Kathmandu.
